While various clinometer apps exist, Steve's Avalanche Inclinometer is tailored for individuals navigating avalanche terrain.

This application features prominently displayed slope, elevation, and aspect data in large fonts, ensuring optimal visibility in challenging weather conditions. Its user-friendly interface eliminates the complexity of navigating through numerous buttons and widgets when in the field.

Users can measure the slope by aligning their phone parallel to it or sighting up or down by using the phone's edge as a guide. The app offers through-the-camera sighting for enhanced accuracy, albeit reliant on appropriate lighting conditions.

Upon aligning the phone with the slope, a simple tap locks the data display for easy reading. The app also offers audible measurements and color-coded inclinometer dials that change based on slope steepness, providing immediate feedback on avalanche risk.

Sharing slope measurements and GPS location is streamlined with a single button tap, allowing users to send detailed information via email with KML and GPX waypoint files included for easy reference. The app conveniently saves email addresses for future use, minimizing user input.
